Celebrating Florida’s Beauty
Flow & Seamless Indoor- Outdoor Living
We lived in an older Florida home on this site prior to tearing it down. This gave me great insight on how we interacted with the property in terms of the indoor–outdoor space and proximity and access to the water. I knew we wanted to maintain the generous yard depth instead of forcing the home back towards the water.
We were looking for a resort-feel on the waterside with ample entertaining spaces and various intimate street side destinations for conversation and relaxing.
The previous home had a detached garage which we liked. I kept the concept but cantilevered the guesthouse over to the main house to create a porte cochere and walkway for rain. We wanted a modern glass home to take advantage of our views of the Intracoastal waterway. However, we enjoy texture and personality in our living spaces. We love art and created perpendicular walls so not to block the views but give some definition to the spaces as well as giving us the opportunity to celebrate our love for fine art.
Although our home is quite open each space has been carefully detailed and delineated to work with adjoining spaces and all the living areas flow to the outdoor entertainment areas.
Detached four-car garage and guesthouse, sauna and spa, fitness room, wine room, custom full bar, putting green, custom kitchen island with built-ins.
